Rates & FAQs

What are your rates?

I charge $250 for all intake (first) sessions. I charge $200 per 50-minute session. The fee for couples and families is $260 per 50-minute session. We can discuss longer sessions if desired and clinically appropriate.

What are your accepted ways of payment?

I accept payment via cash, debit or credit card, HSA or FSA card at the beginning of each session.

I accept payment via a debit or credit card for online therapy services, which will be on file.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I am a private pay (self-pay) practice and do not accept insurance. All services are billed directly to the client at the time of service.

If your insurance plan includes Out-of-Network (OON) benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement from your carrier. Upon request, I am happy to provide a superbill which is a detailed receipt with the necessary clinical and billing information that you can submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider in advance to understand your Out-of-Network mental health benefits, your deductible, and your reimbursement process before your first appointment.

Why can’t you bill my insurance?

I have been on many insurance panels and billed my clients’ insurance. Unfortunately, I have seen too many occasions where my clients still found that they were responsible for the entire bill even after I had adequately completed the insurance paperwork.

Given the nature of insurance and how carriers can drive and limit treatment decisions, I do not accept insurance of any kind directly. This allows me to offer truly individualized care to each client — without insurance companies dictating session frequency, treatment approaches, required diagnoses, or session limits. Your care is guided entirely by your clinical needs and our work together, not by what a carrier is willing to approve.

What if I can’t afford your rate?

Don’t let my rate discourage you from contacting me. Even if we cannot work together, I have been able to refer potential clients to therapists who may be able to accommodate your financial situation.

How long will I be in therapy?

I don’t know. Some clients come in to work on a specific need and find that a few sessions are sufficient. In contrast, other clients choose to continue long-term (approximately over 20 sessions).

Often, folks continue to work with me through additional items that arise throughout the therapeutic journey. There is no correct answer; however, we will collaborate together to help you make the best choice for yourself on the journey to wellness.
